Shah Rukh Khan’s King has secured its overseas distributor ahead of its Christmas Eve release. Phars Film announced on 31 October that it would bring the Siddharth Anand-directed action film to international audiences on 24 December 2026.

The partnership puts the overseas theatrical rollout in place for Khan and Anand’s reunion after Pathaan. King is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Marflix Pictures; Red Chillies’ official film page also carries the December date.

Taking King Beyond India

Red Chillies chief executive Venky Mysore said Phars’ international reach and knowledge of individual markets would support the film’s overseas prospects, according to a statement reported by PTI. Phars chairman Golchin, meanwhile, cited Khan’s cross-border appeal in welcoming the deal.

The announcement places Phars on the distribution side of the release, rather than introducing a new producer. Its role is to bring the film to audiences outside India. For international viewers, the Christmas Eve date is the starting point; cinema listings and booking details will be specific to their market.

Khan and Anand Return to Action

The reunion follows their 2023 collaboration Pathaan. King gives the actor and director a new action vehicle, produced through Red Chillies and Marflix rather than a continuation of that film.

Its visual introduction arrived on Khan’s birthday, 2 November 2025, when Red Chillies unveiled the title and a silver-haired look for its leading man. That campaign established the film’s identity; the overseas agreement now adds the machinery needed to get it into cinemas.

With 24 December on the calendar, King is being positioned as a year-end theatrical release—not simply another title announcement in Khan’s future slate.
