Dhurandhar has won 12 awards at IIFA 2026, with Ranveer Singh taking the leading-actor honour and Aditya Dhar recognised for direction. Aneet Padda won the leading-actress award for Saiyaara in the results announced on October 30.
The scale of Dhurandhar’s success extends well beyond its leading man. Seven of its wins appear in IIFA’s popular categories and another five in the technical list, covering the performances, writing and filmmaking behind the film.
A Sweep Across the Film’s Craft
Alongside best picture, the film won supporting actor for Sanjay Dutt and negative-role performance for Akshaye Khanna. Dhar’s honours included original story, screenplay and dialogue, while Shashwat Sachdev won music direction.
The technical awards further recognised cinematographer Vikash Nowlakha, editor Shivkumar V. Panicker and sound designer Bishwadeep Chatterjee. Taken together, those categories explain why the result is more substantial than a collection of star-performance wins: the film’s visual construction, pace and sound were recognised too.
Chhaava collected three technical honours: background score for A.R. Rahman, sound mixing for Alok De, and visual effects for Assemblage Entertainment and Redefine. Bosco Leslie Martis won choreography for “Aavan Jaavan” from War 2.
Saiyaara’s Acting and Music Wins
Padda’s leading-actress award was one of five wins for Saiyaara. Ahaan Panday received the male-debut honour, while the film’s music brought awards for lyricist Irshad Kamil and playback singers Faheem Abdullah and Shreya Ghoshal.
Elsewhere, Huma Qureshi won supporting actress for Jolly LLB 3, Rasha Thadani received female debut for Azaad, and Homebound won adapted story.
Streaming Has Its Own Winners
The separate IIFA Digital Awards produced another prominent result for The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The series won five honours, including best series, direction for Aryan Khan and supporting performances for Anya Singh and Raghav Juyal. Ujwal Gupta’s “Number 1” won title track.
Paatal Lok Season 2 took both leading-performance awards, for Jaideep Ahlawat and Tillotama Shome, as well as original story. In the digital-film categories, Baramulla won best picture, while Stolen earned direction for Karan Tejpal and leading actor for Abhishek Banerjee. Sanya Malhotra won leading actress for Mrs.
For readers following the results, the distinction matters: theatrical films, digital films and series have separate lists, rather than competing for one overall best-picture prize.
